How do you go about breaking into car hauling?
Many of these jobs are about being in the right place at the right time. First of all, you have to live in the Charlotte area. Almost all of the race teams are based out of Charlotte. The best thing is to send a resume off and keep touching base with them. Keep knocking on the doors. Keep showing up. Meanwhile, be diligent; keep your driving record clean. No accidents. No parking tickets. I didn’t have garage experience at all but once I was hired, I caught on quickly. It’s a great gig if you can get it but there’s not much turnover. We don’t leave these jobs!
